The planes returned to service later on Saturday

Two planes were grounded at Shannon Airport for several hours after being struck by lightning, it has emerged.
The Aer Lingus aircraft, arriving from New York and Boston, both sustained damage to their noses as they prepared to land at about 0600 GMT on Saturday.
Both planes nevertheless landed safely, however, they were unable to continue with the Dublin legs of their journeys.
An Aer Lingus spokeswoman said there were no reports of any injuries on either aircraft.
Work was carried out on the two planes and they returned to service on Saturday evening.
