Windows in two houses have been broken and six cars damaged in early morning attacks in north Belfast.
Police said a group of three men may have been involved in the attacks at Serpentine Gardens, Serpentine Parade and Serpentine Road.
Sinn Fein councillor Tierna Cunningham said the attacks at about 0350 GMT in a mainly Catholic area were sectarian.
"Local residents are very concerned and afraid at this unprovoked incident," she said.
"It seems that the element involved were at least unhappy with yesterday's UDA statement and wanted to demonstrate this by attacking Catholics in a vulnerable area."
SDLP councillor Pat Convery said those responsible had "done nothing for community relations in the area".
"There is no such thing as victimless crime, and residents of this area have been left surveying the damage and are traumatised," he said.
Police have appealed for information.
