police back
A man remains critically ill in hospital after being badly beaten up in an assault in Dungannon.

The 20-year-old victim was attacked outside an off-licence at Scotch Street in the town.

A 17-year-old boy and two men, aged 22 and 20, are being questioned by police about the assault, which took place early on Sunday.

Detectives in the Dungannon area would like to hear from witnesses or anyone with information.

The area remains cordoned off while police examine the scene.

Union Street, Scotch Street and Irish Street remain closed to traffic.
