Police in 'cyanide death' search
Fire truck outside Holiday Inn
The man was found dead in this Belfast hotel
Police investigating the death of a man in a Belfast hotel last week have carried out a "precautionary" search of premises on the Ormeau Road.

It is thought the man, whose body was found in a bedroom at the Holiday Inn on Ormeau Avenue, may have killed himself and cyanide may have been used.

Police officers assisted the Public Health Service in the search.

They said it was undertaken to ensure there was no risk to residents or staff at the building on Ormeau Avenue.
