Vigil held for missing Madeleine
Madeleine McCann
Madeleine McCann disappeared on 3 May
More than 100 people have gathered in Downpatrick to hold a vigil in support of missing child Madeleine McCann.

They braved rain on Wednesday night to pray for the return of the little girl, who went missing over a fortnight ago while on a family holiday in Portugal.

The crowd stood in silence for 10 minutes before saying a joint prayer. Some of them held posters of Madeline, while others lit candles.

Organisers said it was a way of showing the family they were in their thoughts.

Francis Morgan, who helped organise the vigil, called for people to come together and pray for the safe return of the child.
