Teenager was treated in hospital for minor injuries
The police are investigating the possibility of a sectarian motive in the assault of a 16-year-old boy in north Belfast.

The teenager was attacked in Alliance Avenue shortly before midnight by three men who were armed with a metal bar, said police.

A PSNI spokesman said the men had emerged from the Glenbryn Road area.

They made off towards the Deerpark area. The teenager was treated in hospital for minor injuries.
