Man 'had 14,000 indecent images'

An architect from County Down has been in court in Belfast charged with having more than 14,000 indecent photographs of children on his computer.

Ian Magill, 59, from the Ballyhornan Road in Downpatrick, is further accused of distributing the photographs around the world.

Police also seized 32 films from the accused, the High Court was told.

Mr Magill's brother said the family could offer a cash surety of up to £25,000 but bail was refused.
