Four youths have been arrested following an arson attack on an Orange Hall in County Armagh.

Scorch damage was discoverd at Carnagh Orange Hall, Keady, on Tuesday night.

Then after the youths' arrests similar damage was reported at Mullantur Orange Hall.

The DUP's William Irwin said: "Those who carried out these attacks are cowards with nothing to offer society, touring around in cars at night and attempting to burn Orange Halls."

Mr Irwin added that Orange halls are "important community resources".

The PSNI has appealed to anyone with information about either attack to come forward.

Sinn Fein Newry and Armagh MP Conor Murphy said there could be no justification for attacks on Orange halls and called for them to end.

"Those responsible need to reflect long and hard upon their actions and ensure that this sort of sectarian behaviour is ended," he said.
