Stonyford map
There has been an illegal band parade in Lisburn, County Antrim, police have said.

One band and about 40 followers were reported to be parading in the Stonyford area at 2000 BST. Police have appealed for information

Meanwhile, a mini-Twelfth parade in Newtownabbey passed off without major incident, police have said.

Chief Inspector John McCaughan praised the organisers of the Glengormley parade.

"We could like to thank all those who organised the parade and local community representatives for the positive manner in which they engaged with police ahead of the event and it is hoped this can be repeated and built upon in future years," he said.

There had been trouble at the parade last year.
