New appeal in missing man search
Martin Kelly
Martin Kelly went missing in Belfast on New Year's Day 2006
Police investigating the disappearance of Martin Kelly, 21, a year ago have renewed their appeal for information.

The apprentice plumber from County Down was last seen leaving Pat's Bar in the docks area of Belfast.

Police revisited the area on Monday night in the hope of finding out more about his disappearance.

Detective Chief Inspector Jeff Smyth said they were anxious to speak to two men seen in the vicinity at the time, who may have had contact with Martin.

"One is described as a bald-headed gentleman who was seen in the area at about 2020 GMT," he said.

"The second gentleman was seen about 10 minutes later in the Corporation Street area.

"These people, we believe, may have encountered Martin, and may have even spoken to Martin.

"If that is the case, we would ask them to come forward to the police."
