A 33-year-old man has been arrested after what police have described as two "viable devices" were found at a house in Antrim town.

The bombs were found shortly before 1230 GMT during police searches at Rathmore Gardens.

Army bomb disposal experts were called and the devices were made safe. A number of homes were evacuated during the operation.

The security alert has ended and the devices were removed for examination.
