Pedestrian dies in road accident
Police sign
A man has died after being hit by a car near Lurgan in County Armagh, the police have said.

It happened on the Derrytrasna Road at 2345 GMT on Saturday as the man was walking home from a nearby Gaelic Athletic Association club.

The police are appealing for any witnesses to the accident to contact them.

The road has been closed between the Kinnego Embankment and Ballyneary North Road.
