Roadworks in Belfast are to be suspended over Christmas
Roadworks on the main routes in Belfast, Bangor and Lisburn are being stopped over the Christmas period, it has been announced.

Only emergency work will be carried out from the last week of November until the beginning of January.

Belfast city centre manager Joanne Jennings said it was good news for both shoppers and traders.

"I hope it will encourage even more people to travel into the city during the Christmas period," she said.
