A man and a woman have escaped unhurt after a shooting at a house in Ballymena, County Antrim.

Police said a number of shots were fired through a downstairs window of a house in Orkney Drive in Ballykeel at about 0300 GMT.

Detectives have appealed for information, particularly about a man dressed in dark clothes and training shoes seen in the area.

They said a motive for the attack had yet to be established.
