Three injured in stolen car crash

Three people have been taken to hospital after an accident involving a suspected stolen car in west Belfast.

A Vauxhall Corsa which had earlier been reported stolen collided with two other cars at the junction of Albert Street and Divis Street at about 0715 GMT.

A woman in her 20s driving one of the other cars was injured along with a man and a woman in the other one.

Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. A young man driving the stolen car abandoned it and fled.

He got into a Ford Mondeo car containing a group of men.

The Corsa was recovered at the scene and the Mondeo recovered nearby in Stanley Street a short time later.

A police spokesman said inquires were ongoing and both cars were being examined by police forensic experts.
