Post mortem is due on body of man
Police officer
A post mortem examination is to be carried out on the body of a man found in Newry in County Down.

The discovery was made at about 1800 BST at the back of a privately owned house at Hawthorn Hill off the city's Dublin Road.

The young man's body was discovered by a member of the public. The police have cordoned off the area around the house.

They said, at the moment, they were treating the incident as a sudden death.

The examination is due to be carried out on Thursday to establish the exact cause of death.
