Three people have escaped injury in a petrol bomb attack in Ballymena in County Antrim.

The devices were thrown through a window of a house at Moat Road at 2300 BST. The premises is occupied by foreign nationals.

The police have said, at this stage, they do not believe the incident was racially motivated.

An investigation has begun into the fire. Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.

A PSNI spokesman said the remains of two petrol bombs were discovered at the scene.

"The items have been taken away for further inspection," said the spokesman.
