Fresh support for racism victims
Newtownabbey
The scheme is being piloted in Newtownabbey
People who suffer racist attacks or abuse are being offered a new level of support.

A community referral scheme is being piloted in Newtownabbey for those who have suffered as a result of racism.

There have been 24 racist incidents in the Newtownabbey area in the last six months.The scheme is the first of its kind in Northern Ireland.

It is being run by Newtownabbey police, the local District Policing Partnership and the Community Relations Forum.
