A man was killed in a road accident near Cookstown
Three people have been killed in separate road accidents across Northern Ireland in the space of a single day.

The latest accident happened close to Kilkeel, at Cassy Water Bridge on Newry Road, near the Cranfield turn-off.

Earlier on Saturday, a man in his 30s was killed in a hit-and-run at about 0130 BST on Maghera Road in Tobermore.

And in County Tyrone, a man in his 40s died when his car was in collision with another vehicle on Moneymore Road, near Cookstown, at about 0930 BST.

The other driver's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

In a separate incident, a teenager was hit by a car in south Belfast on Friday.

The 18-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital after being injured on Upper Dunmurry Lane just before 2330 BST.

Meanwhile, 13 people have been taken to hospital suffering from shock after a crash between a bus and a tractor on the Antrim to Ballymena Road on Saturday morning.
