Belfast's Ormeau Baths Gallery - which was closed at the end of February because of financial problems - is to re-open its doors to the public.
The gallery will re-open on 9 June as a contemporary arts gallery under the interim management of the Arts Council.
Chief Executive Roisin McDonough said they would manage the gallery until an independent board could take over.
She said that the council was committed to maintaining gallery provision in the city.
"The Arts Council is currently engaged in discussions with representatives from the whole of the visual arts community and with potential partners about the future management of the Ormeau Baths Gallery, and we are considering a range of proposals," she said.
"We hope to be able to make an announcement on the future management structure by the autumn."
The Collector's Collections includes paintings, drawings, sculptures and mixed-media works by some of the best artists in Ireland, including Basil Blackshaw, David Crone, Felim Egan, Alice Maher, Kathy Prendergast and Sean Scully.
