A snake has been stolen during a burglary at a house in west Belfast.

The 2ft long corn snake and its tank were taken during the break-in at Andersonstown Crescent in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The snake is described as orange and cream in colour and anyone offered it for sale in suspicious circumstances is asked to contact police.

Corn snakes, a common snake kept as a pet in the UK, feed on mice and can grow up to 6ft (90cm) long.

Corn snakes are not venomous and are usually docile.
