A 21-year-old student has been left shocked but unhurt after his car was hijacked in south Belfast.
He was dragged from his car at Ardmore Park, Finaghy, at 1230 BST on Monday while waiting for a friend.
The victim said he was approached by a man who asked for a lift to Poleglass, just outside west Belfast. He refused and was pulled from the car.
Another man and three women jumped in and drove off. The car crashed half a mile away. Four people were arrested.
A fifth person, believed to the driver of the stolen car, flagged down a taxi and made off.
The victim said that he had only been driving for a matter of weeks and would lock himself in his car from now on.
"When I went to start the car he reached in and grabbed the keys off me and took them out of the ignition," he said.
"I was about to get out of the car when he just reached over and grabbed me."
