Police have said they are keeping an open mind about the motive for two petrol bomb attacks in south Belfast.
Houses in Breda Road, Newtownbreda, were targeted in the attack on Monday. No one was injured.
Minor scorch damage was caused to the houses. The Fire and Rescue Service was called to deal with the incident.
South Belfast MP Alasdair McDonnell condemned the attacks as "totally reprehensible" and said it was fortunate there was no fire.
"It is clear that as a community we need to stand together and express our shared outrage at attacks of this nature," he said.
That is why it is vitally important that anyone with any information on this incident contacts the local PSNI as soon as possible."
'Paramilitary activity'
Alliance councillor Michael Long condemned what he referred to as the "third paramilitary-style attack" in the borough in recent times.
"Such acts of terrorism and intimidation are deplorable and have no place in a just and peaceful society," he said.
A police spokesperson said: "The investigation is in its early stages and police are keeping an open mind as to the motive at present."
