Man kicked during armed robbery

A man has been assaulted during a robbery at a fast food restaurant in Coleraine involving three masked men.

The man, who works in the restaurant at Riverside Business Park, had a knife put to his back at about 2050 GMT on Wednesday and was made to lie down.

He was then kicked in the ribs. Two other robbers, one with a metal bar, told another worker to empty a till.

She threw it on a table, ran away and raised the alarm. The robbers escaped with cash.

The gang were all wearing makeshift masks, blue jeans and dark coats.

Police have appealed for anyone with any information about the robbery to contact them.
