New air route to Algarve unveiled

Easyjet now has ten foreign routes to Belfast

Budget airline Easyjet has announced a new route from Belfast International Airport to Faro in Portugal.

Easyjet said its tenth foreign flight route from Belfast would begin operating on 16 July with one-way prices starting from £24.99.

Its other Belfast routes include Alicante, Amsterdam, Berlin, Geneva, Malaga, Nice, Palma, Paris and Rome, as well as a number of UK destinations.

Faro is a popular Algarve resort, attracting sun worshippers and golfers.

New routes from Northern Ireland to foreign airports have mushroomed in the last two years.

Last week, Continental Airlines began its service between Belfast International Airport and Newark airport, near New York.
