Police appeal on hit-and-run car
Police have identified the Lithuanian man killed in a hit-and-run accident in County Tyrone on Friday.

The victim, who had been walking on the Armagh Road, Moy, when he was struck, was named as 25-year-old Alius Kaleininkas, of the Old Grange, Omagh.

Police said two vehicles were involved and they have appealed for information about the second car which they said left the scene.

A PSNI spokesman said the vehicle may have damage to its front and underside.

Mr Kaleininkas was walking in the direction of Armagh at about 2000 GMT when he was struck by the first car.

While the driver was giving assistance to the victim, a second car struck Mr Kaleininkas and he was dragged along the carriageway.

The vehicle was reported to have slowed down, but when the man became dislodged, it was driven off in the direction of Armagh.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen a vehicle with frontal damage or acting suspiciously in the Armagh area on Friday evening or over the weekend.

They have also requested garage repair workers who may have had a large car offered for frontal/underside repairs to contact them as a matter of urgency.

Officers can be contacted at Armagh station on 0845 600 8000 or on Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
