Voters' views: Danny Walker

MEET THE PANEL
Name: Danny Walker
Age: 28
Lives: Glengormley
Works: Software engineer
Current voting intention: Alliance

Mafia-like organized crime in Northern Ireland is a big concern. It has got to stop. No more excuses, no more chances.

The recent Northern Bank robbery and the murder of Robert McCartney has convinced me that while we have large criminal organisations like the IRA and their loyalist counterparts, we can't have a normal society here.

Integrated primary education should be highly encouraged, so that people of various backgrounds can meet each other much younger.

There are already steps being taken, but more needs to be done. Perhaps financial incentives for those who send their children to integrated schools?

I'd like to see the institutions up and running again as soon as possible.

I don't want English ministers running our affairs - no offence meant to English ministers, but they're unelected and we should be represented by those elected by us.

VOTERS' PANEL INTRODUCTIONS

I am concerned about the future of the National Health Service.

I think we should move to a means-tested system where those who can't afford it can still get free medical attention, but those who can afford it, pay for it though insurance.

I don't see why I, as a relatively well-paid person, should be entitled to free health care.

I know the Alliance Party disagree with me on this issue, but my opinion is fairly radical.

The Americans and British need to get out of Iraq. Although I didn't object to Saddam Hussein being removed, I do object to a foreign country being occupied against its peoples' wishes.
