Driver is killed in car accident
One man has been killed in a car accident in County Londonderry.

It is understood the man's car left the Castleroe Road on the outskirts of Coleraine at about 1900 BST on Tuesday and collided with a tree.

Only one person was travelling in the vehicle. Police have appealed for information.

Meanwhile, the man who died in a three-car collision in County Down on Monday has been named as David Gavin O'Connor of Glenwood Court in Belfast.

The accident happened on the Newry by-pass at about 1900 BST on Monday.

Mr O'Connor, 27, was taken to Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry after the accident, but died a short time later.

The drivers of the other two cars, a man and a woman, were also taken to hospital, but their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The police said a lorry may also have been involved in the accident and have appealed for the driver to come forward.

Witnesses are also being urged to contact the police at Newry.
