Murder accused appears in court
Scene of murder
The victim was found in the Hampton Drive area
A 34-year-old man has been remanded in custody at Belfast Magistrates Court charged with murder.

Wang Huan, a Chinese national, is accused of murdering Jun Wang, 37, in the house where they both lived at Hampton Drive in the south of the city.

A police patrol found the victim, also a member of the Chinese community, outside the house last Tuesday. He had been stabbed several times.

Mr Huan, who is due in court again on 13 April, made no reply when charged.

However, a detective told the court she believed she could connect him to the charge.

A barrister for the defence said he hoped to lodge a bail application in the High Court in due course.
