A man has sustained burns in a petrol bomb attack in County Armagh.

Five men with bats smashed windows and doors of the house at Hillside Avenue in Hamiltonsbawn on Tuesday and threw a petrol bomb into the living room.

Four people were inside at the time. A 23-year-old man was treated for superficial burns to his face and neck after he tried to put out the fire.

Police have not established a motive for the attack, but it is not thought to have been sectarian or racist.

People in the area said they suspected paramilitaries may have been involved in the attack, which happened shortly after 2100 BST.
