Four injured in road accident
The scene of the accident in County Armagh
Two paramedics were among four people injured in a road accident involving an ambulance and several vehicles in County Armagh.

It is understood that three cars were involved in the initial accident between the Birches and Loughgall on the M1 motorway on Sunday morning.

Two motorists were injured at that stage.

But when other motorists tried to flag down a passing ambulance it appears to have skidded on the slippery surface.

It is understood that it crashed into one of the parked cars.

Four people were eventually taken to hospital, but their injuries are not believed to be serious.

One of the westbound lanes of the motorway was closed for a time but was later reopened.

Meanwhile, police have released the name of a man who died following a road accident in County Antrim.

He is Derren White, 29, from Knockmore, Lisburn.

Mr White was walking along Belfast Road, Lambeg, on Friday at about 2230 BST when he was hit by a car.

His friend, who was walking with him was uninjured.
