Teenager dies in crash

Two cars were involved in the accident
An 18-year-old girl has died following a car crash in County Down.

She was Kelly Nixon, of Lawson Gardens in Portavogie.

Two cars were involved in the accident at 1915 GMT on Monday at Portaferry Road, near Newtownards.

Two men are being treated in hospital.

So far this year, 132 people have been killed on Northern Ireland's roads.

Meanwhile, a 90-year-old woman suffered a head injury and a broken leg following a suspected hit-and-run incident in north Belfast on Monday.

It happened on Shankill Parade at about 2030 GMT.

She is in a stable condition in hospital.

A man has been arrested.
