Murder probe into man's death
Tony McNamee
Mr McNamee was a father of four children
The death of a man in Londonderry is being treated as murder, police have said.

Tony McNamee, 37, a kitchen assistant of Seven Oaks, Waterside, suffered serious head injuries following a fight outside a bar in Dungiven Road, at about 1900 GMT on Tuesday.

He was found in a laneway and was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital where he died later.

Mr McNamee was a father of two boys and two girls aged from 11 to six years old.

Three men have been arrested and are being questioned about the incident.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to contact them.

It is understood the incident was not sectarian or paramilitary related.

Fr Oliver Crilly said: "I think nature closes you down in a situation like that, because you couldn't live, couldn't survive, with the amount of shock and pain and nature sort of closes you down.

"So I would say that Donna was really numb with shock last night. But she coped very well in the immediate situation, but she was coping through that kind of numbness that hits a person in those circumstances."
