Annie Canning screamed at the intruder

An 80-year-old woman is still in shock after an intruder broke into her home in Londonderry in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The man kicked in the door of the house on the Creggan estate around 0300 BST.
He made his way into the bedroom of pensioner Annie Canning but ran off when she screamed at him.
"There was only one thought in my mind - he was up to no good," she said.
"I said to him: 'You dirty rascal - get out of my home'."
Kick in the door
SDLP councillor for Creggan, Jim Clifford, said everyone on the estate was appalled at the break-in.
He said: "Disgusted and angry. That's the way the community feels at the minute.
"To think that somebody would kick in the door of an old woman of 80 years of age. And the old woman finding him at the bottom of her bed.
"This old woman has just buried her only son a few weeks back.
"It is disgusting that somebody could do something like that there. It terrified the old woman."
