Remains were found at a disused cattle market at Linenhall Street
Police have identified the man found murdered in County Londonderry at the weekend.

William Trainor from Gorteen Crescent, Limavady, was identified from dental records.

The 50-year-old was reported missing by his family last Monday evening.

His remains were found at a disused cattle market at Linenhall Street in the town on the previous night.

A post mortem examination established that the victim, whose body was badly burned, was a male.

Meanwhile, a court has given detectives another 24 hours to question two men about the murder.
