There has been a gun attack on a house on the outskirts of south Belfast.

Five shots were fired through a downstairs window of the house at Best Hill View, on the Purdysburn Road, at about 2300 BST on Thursday.

The householder, 30-year-old Mark Stubbs, was at home at the time, but was not injured in the attack.

He said: "There are bullet holes in the back of my living room window.

"There are bullet holes in the side of the walls - the place is a bit of a mess.

"I have received several death threats - so have other individuals in this area."

Police believe two men were involved in the incident and that they made off in a red coloured Mazda car. They have appealed for information.
