Woman killed in accident
A woman has been been knocked down and killed in County Londonderry.

Agnes Murray, 60, of O'Neill Park, Magherafelt, died after being struck by a car on the road between Toomebridge and Castledawson.

It is believed the mother-of-two had just left a wake in the area with her husband Seamus.

He was walking on the road along with Mrs Murray, at about 2300 BST on Sunday, and was seriously injured in the incident.

He was described as being in a stable condition in the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast on Tuesday.

The police have issued an appeal for information.

Anyone who was driving along the road, close to the Elk bar at about the time of the accident, and may have witnessed anything is asked to contact the police at Magherafelt.

Meanwhile, a woman is said to be "gravely ill" in hospital after being injured in a road accident at Dundela Avenue in east Belfast on Sunday.
