Thousands of people gathered in Belfast city centre for the climax of the BBC's Music Live festival.
Saturday's Beautiful Night concert was the centre piece of the 11-day celebration in which the BBC has been promoting live music through its broadcasts and special events held throughout the country.
The two-hour musical extravaganza was broadcast live from Belfast City Centre around the world.
A massive stage was set up at the front of Belfast City Hall and taking to it were a wide variety of talent such as Divine Comedy, Ronan Keating, Bob Geldof, Alanis Morisette, Hothouse Flowers and Katie Melua.
All the artists were accompanied by the Ulster Orchestra.
Fans hailed the concert as a huge success.
All 18,000 tickets for the concert were snapped up earlier this year, but for those unlucky not to have one, the concert was broadcast on BBC One and on BBC Radio Ulster.
