Three face arms charges

Three people have been charged following the seizure of explosives and ammunition in Belfast.

The seizures were made during searches on Friday evening in the west of the city.

A 34-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman are due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday charged with six counts of possessing explosives with intent to endanger life.

They also each face four charges of possession of weapons, namely ammunition, and three charges of possessing articles likely to be of use to terrorists.

A 35-year-old man has been charged with possession of explosives in suspicious circumstances.
