A woman arrested in connection with the death of a baby whose body was found in County Londonderry has been released without charge.

The discovery was made at the back of a house in Ballygallin Park in the Ballysally estate, Coleraine, early on Friday morning.

A second woman arrested in connection with the incident was released without charge on Saturday.

Forensic teams have carried out follow up operations at the house and at another nearby.

Police have given no further details about the baby.

Coleraine Mayor Councillor Dessie Stewart said people were shocked by the discovery.

The results of a postmortem examination carried out on Saturday have not been made public

Police say a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
