Missing woman's family 'hopeful'
Missing woman Attracta Harron
Attracta Harron was last seen walking to Mass
The family of a missing County Tyrone woman say they are hopeful that she will return home soon.

Attracta Harron, 65, was last seen at 0930 GMT on 11 December when she went to Mass at Murlough Chapel in Lifford, in County Donegal.

Members of the Harron family have been in Dublin over the weekend distributing posters and flyers in a bid to trace their mother.

It followed unconfirmed sightings of a woman matching the description of the 65-year-old retired librarian near the Ha'penny Bridge in the city on Sunday last week.

She was said to have been in a confused state and asking for money.

At the time of her disappearance, Mrs Harron was wearing a red duffle-style coat and grey trousers. She is described as being 5ft 2ins, with shoulder-length blonde hair.

Her family said they were extremely worried by her "completely uncharacteristic" disappearance.

Police in Strabane in conjunction with the Garda Siochana carried out a reconstruction of events last Thursday - one week since she was last seen.

Underwater teams have searched waterways in the Strabane and Lifford areas while nearby countryside was also combed.
