A shotgun attack at a house in County Londonderry is being treated as attempted murder.
A 29-year-old man suffered minor injuries in the incident at Coleraine at about 2300 BST on Thursday.
The victim answered the door of his home at Hazelbank Road and was confronted by a masked man.
As he slammed the door shut, another man appeared and opened fire through a glass pane in the door with a sawn-off shotgun.
The victim suffered minor head injuries and a graze to his ear.
A car believed to have been used by the gunmen was later found burnt out at Quilley picnic area in nearby Articlave.
The police have said they are keeping an open mind about the attack although they said it looked like an attack by paramilitaries.
