Man suffers head injuries in attack
A man has been seriously injured in an attack in County Londonderry.

The 24-year-old sustained serious head injuries in the attack which happened at about 0300 BST on Saturday in Articlave, near Coleraine.

The man had been been drinking in a local pub and was walking home with a friend when he was attacked at Woodend Park.

He was hit from behind and beaten with a baseball bat during the incident.

The police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
