Youth injured in assault
A youth has been injured in an assault in the Whitewell area of north Belfast.

The young man was walking to work at a local nursing home shortly after 0800 GMT on Wednesday when the attack happened.

He suffered minor facial injuries and scratches to his chest.

Police said the victim was from the nearby White City estate, the scene of recent sectarian tensions.

A motive for the attack is being investigated.
