Blast crater found in County Down
The police in County Down have said they believe a bomb was detonated in Ballyhornan in the early hours of Monday morning.

Following reports of an explosion being heard in the area, a search was carried out and a three feet wide crater was discovered in the Rocks Road area on Thursday.

The area is close to the fishing village of Ardglass.

Army bomb experts said on Saturday that between five and 10 kilos of home made explosives were used.

Police have appealed for information.
