Montage of covers of REM's Everybody Hurts

An all-star cast of pop singers are recording a version Everybody Hurts to release as a charity single for the victims of the Haiti earthquake. The REM track has been covered by many people since its release on the band's album Automatic For The People in 1992. Alongside the original, here are extracts from Joe Cocker, Bonnie Tyler, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Paul Anka.
