Billboards from around the country

A selection of your billboards

In our project to build up a picture of a week in local news from billboards, a fourth selection of the best.

"SOCIAL WORKER 'ABUSED WOMAN'"

Taken by Keiron on 30 April.

This is a harrowing tale about a male social worker who fathered two children by a woman he was supposed to be helping. The social worker has now been struck off.

"CARDIFF POLICE HUNT SOCCER YOBS ON TRAIN"

Taken by Uncle Wilco in Saltmead, Cardiff on 29 April.

British Transport Police are hunting football fans who while travelling back to Cardiff from Southampton stripped naked, climbed into luggage racks and urinated in sinks.

"MUM SHED 9 STONE TO STOP KIDS BEING BULLIED" Taken by Mojtaba Hadian in Edinburgh on 30 April.

This inspirational tale concerns a woman who, weighing over 20 stone, and finding her children were being bullied because of it, decided to go on a dramatic diet.

"CITY KILLER LOSES APPEAL"

Taken by new folder on 27 April.

A story that has yet to make it to the Birmingham Mail's online edition.

"OUTCRY OVER GURKHA RIGHTS"

Taken by Sleepymyf in Crowthorne on 30 April.

It turns out the national story about Gurkhas being allowed to live permanently in the UK has particular interest for Aldershot where many are expected to settle.

"WINGER REJECTS MOVE TALK"

Taken by Builder-bob at the Black Cat Garage, Leek New Road, Stoke-on-Trent on 30 April.

No sooner has jinking winger Matthew Etherington arrived at Stoke City than there are unfounded rumours of his imminent departure.
