More or Less: Imperial vs metric

Decades of wrangling with the European Union over switching to metric measures has ended with a vote confirming that imperial measures can carry on indefinitely.

It means a 2009 deadline to end the use of imperial measurements alongside metric units has been scrapped.

But will the metric versus imperial debate ever really end?

Author and imperial measures enthusiast Warwick Cairns takes the platform against Derek Pollard from the UK Metric Association.
