Voting has now finished in the sixth round of our annual photo competition on the theme of 'Look up'.

The winner was Katy Lowe (picture 8) who polled just over 14% of the vote. The runner-up was Nicolas Randall (picture 9) on 13%, just ahead of Peter Drubetskoy (picture five) on 12%.

THEMES FOR YOUR PICTURES It's too late to enter this year's competition but don't forget to vote in next week's final on Wednesday 20 September.

What happens next

So our congratulations go to Katy and Nicolas whose pictures will go forward to the final on 20 September when you will be able to decide who is awarded the title of BBC News website Photographer of the Year.

High standard

We had approximately 20,000 entries for the various themes.
