Voting has now finished in the third round of our annual photo competition on the theme of 'Uniform'.

The winner was Vicki Johnston (picture four) who polled nearly 30% of the vote. The runner-up was Joe O'Brien (picture 7) on 15%, just ahead of Margaret Jones (picture five) on 11%.

What happens next

So our congratulations go to Vicki and Joe whose pictures will go forward to the final when you will be able to decide who is awarded the title of BBC News website Photographer of the Year.

High standard

We had more than 3500 entries for the first round and have already received many for subsequent themes.
